Swedish Massage
This is the type of massage most people are familiar with.
Swedish massage involves effleurage (long gliding strokes),
petrissage (kneading), tapotement (percussion) and friction.
Swedish Massage can range from light to vigorous.
Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue massage is used to penetrate the deeper layers of
musculature. In order to get to these deeper layers the therapist
may use a variety of techniques. Swedish strokes are sometimes
used to warm the superficial layers of tissue. Once the tissues are
warmed, the therapist can use long slow gliding strokes,
sustained compression, strokes that travel across the muscle
fiber or perpendicular to the muscle fibers. This may include
myofascial techniques or cross fiber friction.
Sports Massage
Sports Massage is a form of massage that can be done before,
during or after exercise and athletic events. This type of massage
can involve a variety of strokes and depth of pressure. The main
purpose of this type of massage is to prepare the athlete for peak
performance, reduce fatigue, decrease swelling, decrease tension
and increase flexibility. It can be a bit more detailed than a regular
Swedish massage.
Passive Stretching
There may be times when the client may need to have certain
muscles stretched. The therapist will take the client through the
Range of Motion (ROM) of the particular joint or just stretch the
specific muscle.
Couples Massage
Couples massages can be provided one of two ways; We can
provide both massages for 45 minutes each for $140 total. If you
prefer 2 back-to-back 60 minute massages, We charge $160
total.

load off! Pamper your friends and family by providing each of
them with a 15 minute to 30 minute massage. We will set up my
equipment in the designated room and perform massages until
the conclusion of the event. Minimum of two hours required.
Chair Massage
Chair Massage is just a massage given usually in a chair made
specifically for massage. It is extremely convenient for both
therapist and client. The client can be massaged on the spot fully
clothed. Often the therapist will take their chair to events, offices
or use it for the individual unable to utilize the massage table.
After a stressful and demanding project, contract for a day of
chair massage to show your
appreciation for a job well done, or substitute a congratulations in
the office newsletter after a strong fiscal quarter with a sign-up in
the break room for a complimentary chair massage.
· No oils or lotions are used...unless requested...so there is no
need for them to be concerned about stains on clothing
· The session generally lasts from 10 to 30 minutes
· The chair is lightweight and portable, enabling it
to be set up in virtually any office or break room.
Chair massage is also great at parties, events, wedding showers,
spa parties or anytime you want to give your guests a real treat.
Benefits of in the workplace
Studies by the Touch Research Institute in Florida show that the
benefits of chair massage have quick results. Immediately after
massage sessions, the subjects experienced a change in brain
waves in the direction of heightened alertness and better
performance on math problems (completed in less time with fewer
errors). At the end of the five-week study period, subjects
reported reduced job stress and elevated moods. This was in
addition to the usual benefits of massage, relief of muscular
tension, revitalized energy, and a stronger immune system. The
study's findings are significant in that the International Labor
Organization stated in its 1993 World Labor Report that job stress
costs the U.S. Economy $200 billion annually through diminished
productivity, compensation claims, absenteeism, health
insurance, and direct medical expenses.
Techniques Used
Chair massage utilizes acupressure and Swedish massage to
relieve tension. Though beginning
at a slower pace, the work moves a little faster as the practitioner
proceeds. The session ends with quick, revitalizing strokes in
order to bring the client back to a state of full consciousness.
Safety
The practitioner will demonstrate the procedure for getting on and
off the massage chair for those not familiar with its use.
Positioning is very important and the practitioner should check
regularly throughout the session to be sure the client's alignment
remains correct.
Employee Reward
Reward the winning department of a team competition to a 15-
minute massage for from manufacturers to hospitals to auto
dealerships, companies across the country are using seated
massage services to make work literally less of a pain in the neck
for employees.
Convenience
Chair massage is performed in the workplace. Your employees
will be seated upright on a special massage chair and will remain
fully clothed. No oils are used.
